This year’s annual meeting was held on Tuesday, May 14th at Center of Unity. We appreciate our neighbors who attended and participated in the discussions.
We had a guest from Grapevine Park & Rec attend to provide our homeowners with an update. Randy Sell, Assistant Director of Park Operations updated us on several hot topics happening in Grapevine:
· Caution! Grapevine Lake water levels are very high due to the abundance of rain. The campground and parks near Grapevine Lake are closed. If you go to the lake, be careful and stay in the middle of the water.
· Work near Parr Park and Bear Creek is almost complete. The large equipment will be gone within a couple of weeks, if it isn’t by the time you’re reading this.
· A new addition is coming this summer! Settler’s Park, off Bass Pro, will offer a fishing pond, pavilion, and more.
· Any suggestions regarding Grapevine parks can be sent to: https://gograpevine.com/contact (You can find this at gograpevine.com under “about/contact”.) Randy also said you can email him directly at: rsell@grapevine3texas.gov
Thank you to Randy for your attendance and the informative update!
An officer from the Grapevine Police was not able to make it this year. However, we did receive the following note: Grapevine has recently hired 10 new officers. Take precautions! Keep your car locked, especially during city events that bring in tourists, such as Main Street Fest, Grapefest, etc. Remove your personal belongings, especially guns. If you have something of value visible, it becomes an opportunity for a crime.
Across the state, there is a gun safety warning. GCISD sent out a reminder to lock up your guns to prevent access to children.
Additionally, at our annual meeting, we received updates regarding our neighborhood. Check out the letter from our GCNA president on the front page for more information.
Again, thank you to everyone who attended!
